College Credit

Indian Prairie School District offers several opportunities for students to earn college credit:

  1. Advanced Placement (AP) courses.  A full compliment of AP courses are offered at the district's high schools.  See the high school course catalog for more information.
  2. Dual Credit (high school & college) credit courses are available through College of DuPage (COD).  The courses are taught by Indian Prairie's high school faculty; they include: Anatomy & Physiology, Apparel Construction I & II, Architectural Drafting, Desktop Publishing, Computer Graphics, Electricity, and Horticulture.  See the high school course catalog for full details about the dual credit program.
  3. COD Dual Enrollment are courses taught by the college's faculty at Indian Prairie's Frontier Campus.  The courses:  English, Speech, Humanities, Photography, Geography, Math and Spanish
  4. COD Articulation:  Child Development and Teaching Lab
  5. Technology Center of DuPage At TCD, in collaboration with COD, students can complete dual credit courses and earn specialization certificates.  The courses:  Print design and graphics, HVAC, CAD, Auto mechanics, computer maintenance, cosmetology, electronics, fire science, health care, manufacturing, tv production, digital photography, construction (certificate.), and landscaping (certificate).
  6. University of Illinois Calculus 3 (math 242)
  7. North Central College Lederman Scholars Program is a prestigious program for high school students at the top of their class.  Named for Nobel laureate Leon Lederman
